How is it that a whole way of seeing the world can change by one chance meeting?
This girl's private school on the Island is the only home I've ever known and I'm happiest when I'm alone. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen often enough, except in the summer. No. What happens is having to drink toilet water, well, weekly. I'm sixteen, and maybe figuring a few things out... So after a few hard kicks in the ribs, I’m left alone on the floor of the bathroom still coughing and trying to catch my breath. After cleaning up and making it up to the attic to hide, a place I’ve had to myself for my whole time I’ve lived here, the weirdest question I have ever heard comes out of a dark corner - a question that's going to change everything: for better?
